Do Internet Guru's Really Just Want to Help You Make Money on the Internet?

Yes and No; but most so-called "guru's" are looking to make money themselves first. and if they can sell you their "secrets" then they will make money for themselves. A smart guru knows that very few people who purchase their ebooks will even read them, and even fewer will take action and become an Internet success.

You will often hear the story that they want to help you make money or be successful; but the bottom line is that they usually always have a product for sale. The price varies depending on how much their ego has been inflated by their wealth and Internet fame. They know that very few people who buy their product on how to make money on the Internet will actually follow through and do as they suggest, so they are not worried about selling their "secrets." The real secret is that most people will buy the How-to book and not even finish the book, let alone do what the book says. So, these Internet experts actually make their money from people who procrastinate and people who never take any action.

It sounds like a very frustrating occupation to me. If you really were intent on teaching people to be successful and they would just not take your advice and do the work, then how is that rewarding? It's rewarding for them because those people paid them a lot of money for their expert advice even if they did not follow it.

I have seen a lot of examples of "You can't afford me" marketing guru's who charge huge amounts of money just to talk to you on the phone. (If I ever do that, I hope somebody shoots me with a paint ball gun.) If I am too busy to talk to you I will probably just not talk to you; but I will not start putting a price tag on my time and charging people to talk to me; especially if I have to pretend to care about your personal problems.

I'm sorry if that sounds cold. I would be willing to bet that those Internet gurus get tired of hand holding people through every step of the way and answering questions from the ones who have not even read the book.

While I might pay good money for an education or a book that is packed with information and organized well, I won't pay extra for the privilege of talking to the author. I realize he or she is very busy, but so am I and I value my time maybe even more than they value theirs.

I prefer just reading or listening to the material. If their material is as good as they say it is, and if I am a good student, they may help me to get very rich and successful.

I miss the days when I first got on the Internet and I could find loads of information for free and not be assaulted by flashing banners and affiliate links and (horror of horrors) popup windows. If it had not been for all the free information and free education and free software I would have never learned how to make websites.

There is still a lot of wonderful free tutors on the Internet on how to make websites, and how to write CSS, and other things. I think Google does a good job and performs some great services even though they have had a lot of criticism from aggressive marketers for their efforts. Hey, its their search engine, they have the right to do whatever they want.

There are still free things on the Internet for the average person, and I have heard that everything is 'free' for a person who knows how to hack. (A scary thought, if its true.)

I got the css and html for this website from Maxdesign.com. They have a very professional and great site for learning how to make websites. I wanted an uncluttered simple website, so I had to resort to making it myself using their simple css page designs.

The paintings shown on this site in the gallery page are original works of art, painted by me. They are not prints, they are one-of-a kind original paintings.

You will be purchasing directly from the artist and not through a gallery or agent. I prefer selling directly because that way, I can set the price I want, you pay less and I make more money. Its a win, win situation.

I love the Internet.
