Discover Your Purpose
Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is? Who decides your purpose? The answer to that question is, "YOU DO."
How do you do that? Some say you do that by discovering not just what you are good at, but discovering what you are passionate about. If you are good at something but you don't really love doing it, then that is not your purpose. Your purpose is to find your bliss and find what it is that you love to do. When you find that, then you have found your creative energy source. This is the source of energy that when tapped, will keep you going and going like the energizer bunny.
There is no mystery to being creative or to being an artist, you simply have to find that creative outlet that you are passionate about. If you love what you are doing and keep doing it, someday someone may come up to you and tell you that you are "talented." You might even wonder what that word really means.
If you are someone who believes that you are not talented, then you need to identify the things that really interest you. Strange as it may seem, there are some people who are keenly interested in something but no matter what they try or how long they try it, they are just no good at it. If this sounds like your case, then it could be a clue to what you might like to do that is related to the thing you love. For example, if you love music, but you can't play it or sing, you might be very good at being a promoter or otherwise involved in the music industry. If you love art but just aren't good at it no matter how much you try, you might be very good at promoting and selling it.
Your first step is to ask yourself what you love to do and what you love to talk about and what what things will cause you to loose track of time while you are doing them. Discover this first, and you will then be on the right track to finding your true passion. Your true passion is your purpose.
So your first step towards happiness and success is to discover what it is that you love to do. The next step will be to find a way to turn that into a business.
So sit down right now and write down 50 things that you love to do. If you can't think of that many, just keep working at it and as you go through your day, if you find yourself doing something you enjoy, jot it down. If you find yourself doing something that you really hate, jot that down too.
The goal of this exercise is to get clear on what you like to do, and what you don't like to do, and then find a way to do the things you like more than doing the things you don't like.
